Abstract

This study focuses on the effects of AI tools on cognitive development, problem-solving, creativity, and psychological well-being among tech professionals, creative professionals, students, and entrepreneurs in Punjab, Pakistan. The quantitative research design was used with a sample size of 350 respondents selected through snowball sampling. Data were gathered using a self-report questionnaire, which measured the main variables concerning cognitive abilities and mental health. Data analysis: The interactions between AI tool use and various cognitive and psychological outcomes were explored using regression analysis, correlation analysis, and ANOVA. It was observed that AI tools positively affected problem-solving, creativity, and mental well-being significantly with significant differences across professional categories. Regression analysis revealed strong predictive relationships, whereas correlations revealed that there are significant relationships between AI use and cognitive functions. ANOVA testing revealed that there was a significant difference in cognitive flexibility and stress levels between groups. These findings underscore the role of AI tools in enhancing cognitive abilities and mental health.
